Mid-IR Analysis
For the analysis in the Middle Infrared (Mid-IR) spectral region, the samples were ground and sieved at 0.149 mm (100 mesh). The samples were read out using the Alpha Sample Compartment RT-DLaTGS ZnSe (Bruker Optik GmbH) sensor equipped with the diffuse reflectance acquisition accessory (DRIFT). The equipment uses HeNe laser as an internally positioned light source with calibration standard for each wavelength. The collected spectra are from 4000 to 600 cm-1 spectral range with a resolution of 2 cm-1, totaling 1700 channels. The spectra were obtained from an average of 64 successive readings. The sensor calibration was performed before each reading using a gold plate as reference.
